ENGLISH TEXT La storia di GIVI è disseminata di piccoli accessori. Aquesto specifico segmento, nell’ul- timo periodo, abbiamo dato una forte accelerazione. Di questo vorrei parlarvi in questo numero del magazine. Dopo aver prodotto per decenni ogni tipologia di borsa e valigia, dopo essere cresciuti come pro- duttori di caschi… ci siamo ancora una voltamessi nei panni dell’uten- te delle due ruote, con la consape- volezza dei cambiamenti in atto, per capire quali fossero le nuove esigenze. La crisi del settore ha modificato un po’ le regole del gioco e il muoversi in moto o sco- oter sta diventando un po’ alla volta una scelta non dettata esclu- sivamente dalla passione (legge- tevi l’articolo del magazine dedi- cato alla Spagna). Chi ha scelto come mezzo di trasporto princi- pale un veicolo a due ruote ha ora l’esigenza di un supportomaggio- re rispetto al passato. Questo ha portato a produrre una serie di mini kit legati alla sicurezza, al facile utilizzo di devices elettroni- ci quando si è in sella, alla prote- zione dal freddo, al comfort, al miglioramento della visibilità nel traffico… ai quali in precedenza non avevamo pensato. L’altro aspetto che ci ha spinto a incrementare la produzione di piccoli accessori è legato alla di- rezione assunta dal mercato, che continua a premiare il segmento delle moto da turismo, maxiendu- ro in testa. Su questi modelli ab- biamo lavorato a lungo per assi- curare ai loro possessori la massima offerta a livello accesso- ristica “maxi emicro”. Dalle valigie in alluminio alla borsettine porta attrezzi da posizionare sotto il portapacchi. Dal mini-spoiler alla barra porta GPS, dalla cavetteria USB, ai paramotori e paracoppa, ai faretti supplementari e potremmo continuare davvero a lungo. Centinaia di proposte, che si allar- gano a macchia d’olio, con il com- pito di aprire un nuovo fronte di interesse verso il nostro marchio. GIVI history is dotted with small accessories. In recent times this particular sector has been given strong acceleration. I would like to tell you all about this in this issue of our magazine. Having grown up as helmet producers and then spending decades producing all kinds of bags and cases, we have once again put ourselves in the biker’s shoes providing ourselves with the awareness of change and understanding where new demands are. Turning points within the industry have slightly changed the rules of the game and the use of the motorcycle or scooter becomes more and more a choice dictated not solely by passion (just read the article in the magazine dedicated to Spain). Those who choose a two wheel vehicle as their main mode of transport now need more support than ever before. This has resulted in GIVI producing a series of mini kits dedicated to security, easier usage of electronic devices during travel, protection against the cold, improved comfort and most importantly higher visibility in the traffic, to which we had previously paid little attention. The other aspect that has led us to increase the production of small accessories is related to the direction taken by the market, which continues to reward the sector of touring bikes, with maxi-enduro at the top. On these models we have worked hard to ensure their holders are offered the best in terms of “maxi and micro" accessories; from the aluminium cases to the tool bags to place under the rack, the mini-spoiler to the bar for GPS holders, the USB wiring to the engine guards and oil carter protectors and the additional spotlights…we really could continue for a long time. Hundreds of proposals that spread like wild fire, with the task of opening a new front of interest into our brand.
