ENGLISH TEXT WELCOME TO 2016 THE NEW COLLECTIONS AT THE 2.0 EDITION OF EICMA, THE MOTORBIKE WORLD FINDS IN GIVI A REAL MIRROR OF THESE CHANGING TIMES. THE MANY IMPORTANT PREVIEWS PRESENTED AT THE WORLD-FAMOUS MILAN MOTORCYCLE SHOW (WHICH CELEBRATED ITS 100TH EDITION LAST YEAR) DESERVE ALL THE SPACE IN THIS SECTION. The concept of motorbike mobility is basically related to anti-polluting regulations, the rules of Traffic Laws, city roads regulations, safety, issues linked to the new electric engines… People often forget about dedicated accessories, which are able to increase riding comfort, allow to create on board the room necessary to host baggage, and offer solutions that increase active and passive safety. We at GIVI belong to this category of manufacturers, and we believe we have the right to voice our ideas in correctly defining “MOTORBIKE MOBILITY”. Once more EICMA allows us to prove this, thanks to products that cannot go unnoticed, and which have crowded [hanno affollato: ma la fiera non è nel futuro? O nel presente di chi legge, mentre è in fiera? Non sarebbe meglio dire che affollano? Which crowd] our stand like never before. Here are some of them. A) SOFT BAGS METRO-T, GRAVEL-T, SPORT-T ARE GIVI’S three new soft bag ranges. Destined to set the standard for the novelty of the aesthetics, the technical solutions we applied and their renewed versatility, these are products made with laminated technical materials and a reinforced structure, hydro-repellent and shielded against UV rays, created following the strict REACH regulation. The EASY range (now EASY-T) enters by right into the ‘T’ family, with this imposing ‘soft’ product. Adding to the new entries the XSTREAM family of products, the water-resistant WATERPROOF RANGE and the 3D line, the 2016 collection now totals 54 different soft bags. 1) METRO-T RANGE Shapes, sizes, type of use… have a freshness that only GIVI could present. 4 proposals able to combine the ‘restrictive’ aesthetic need of the “Classic, Café Racer and Scrambler” world with all the other bikers. Four products presented for the moment, consisting of bags with a semi-formed body: a pair of vertical load side bags with an 18-litre capacity and a totally new mounting system (EASYLOCK NEW), a saddle bag convertible into a 30-litre backpack, a 4-litre roll bag and a second 5-litre bag fixed with magnets to the tank. 2) GRAVEL-T RANGE GIVI’s new water-proof bags for those who like off-road tours. Five models, differing in their load capacity and type of use, which GIVI offers to those who love mixed touring: asphalt + off-road trips. Basically the GRAVEL-Ts are particularly suitable for agile vehicles, like enduro and supermotard, for which light and practical bags perfectly fit the bill. The range is made up of a 25-litre backpack, a 20-litre modular cargo roll bag, a second 40-litre cargo bag, a compact bum bag to wear either on the front or the back of the body, a tank bag with specific mounting system. 3) SPORT-T RANGE Three bags studied for ‘quick tourism’. Designed by GIVI’s R&D department to offer compact volumes and aerodynamic shapes, they are particularly suitable for owners of naked and sport tourers. The range is made up of a pair of 22-litre thermoformed side bags with EASYLOCK NEWmounting system, a small 4-litre tank bag and a 15-litre tank bag, both provided with a Tanklock mounting system. 4) EASY-T RANGE Great restyling work for the entry-level Easy range, entering the new big ‘T’ family as a universally usable range: for town to long distance rides. Made with materials and technical solutions oriented towards maximum efficiency, it includes 13 different models: two pairs of side bags with thermoformed front with a 30- and 40-litre capacity each, three tank bags (two with a 25-litre capacity, of which one specific for endure models, the third is dividable in two (25+15 litres) with a section that can be transformed in a backpack [qui secondo me manca la chiusura della parentesi]; following there is a 22-litre backpack, a 15-litre scooter tunnel bag, a small 6-litre tank bag, a 35-litre saddle roll bag, a bum bag, two leg bags (one standard size, one XL), a tank tablet/ map holder. B) THE HELMETS Full-face, modular, jet, demi-jet, even the Junior range for ‘young passengers’ has been updated. The helmet collection over the last few years has been presented at the Milan Show in a dedicated area, separate from the rest of GIVI’s products. There are many models, each available in different colours and graphics. For 2016 we have around 100 different options you can wear on your head. JETs and Demi-Jets dominate the scene, but the range is nicely completed by full-face and modular helmets. Briefly this is what is new. 1) MODULAR X.16 A new flip-up helmet at a ‘standard full-face’ price… without compromising on quality. This helmet has only the ‘P’ protection standard (indicated for full-face and modular helmets with a chin strap to use ALWAYS CLOSED): in other words, the full-face helmet’s characteristics remain unaltered as well as the modularity of flip-up ones. If your ambition is to travel with your chin strap open you can still turn your attention to the GIVI X.08 and X.09 models. Available in four colours. 2) FULL-FACE 50.4 This is not a new model. We talk about it here because of the new versions (SNIPER, SPECTRUM and NINPHEA), for a total of 7 different products between monochrome and various graphics. 3) JET 20.6 FIBER-J2 GIVI’s famous JET in composite fibre with long visor is now available also in the new version J2 PLUS, adding 4 colours for a total of 9 different graphics. 4) JET 12.3 STRATOS New arrival that increases with its line and its five colours GIVI’s city JETs. Its long visor makes it ideal for most of the year. 5) 20.7 OLDSTER The result of intensive design, this new JET made with a composite fibre shell in its standard version is destined to those who love the vintage style and who choose their bike and apparel according to precise aesthetic standards. Without a visor in its standard version, it has interesting accessories (obviously coordinated). The GIVI ‘veteran’ is aimed at owners of classic, café, racer, scrambler and custom bikes. Appropriate range of colours. 6) 10.7 BOBBER widens GIVI’s DEMI-JET DL range. It proposes a minimalist line, like the rigid frame and short mudguard bikes it takes its name from. It is characterised by a short visor and 5 colour versions, three of which with appropriate graphics and one, for the female public, with an elegant pink Art-Nouveau pattern. 7) JUNIOR Last but not least we renovated the JUNIOR range, dedicated to the protection of young passengers. New insides and new colours, that now go towards white, red and yellow. C) OTHER ACCESSORIES Among the many accessories ready to enter the catalogue there is also a new big aluminium case for ATVs and quads. We chose only this product as representative of our huge catalogue because often people forget about those who use these four-wheelers, who have the same needs as bikers. Getting to know them you learn that they are very active and passionate and that they take part in many off-road tours organised in all regions of Italy. TREKKER OUTBACK ATV For this sector GIVI has presented at EICMA a squared top case, completely made of aluminium, with 110-litre capacity and with a mounting system (Fixes System) designed to adapt perfectly to the quad’s rack. Very sturdy, convenient opening from above with double lock total reliability also off-road, watertight and a lot, really a lot of room inside, to travel without any worries.
