36 Turismo FROM THE ADIATRIC TO GARDA PASSING THROUGHCOMACCHIO DAY 3 - about 400 km covered. The third day of our “tourism” proposal starts from Ravenna, easily reachable from Cervia by taking the SS16 (to avoid the scattered traffic lights of Romea); Before leaving, however, allow yourself a quick stop in the centre of Cervia, where the San Michele Tower in Piazzale dei Salinari stands on the opposite side of the canal in front of the old markets. Ravenna can easily be visited for an entireweekend. Here you breathe art, history and culture. You can also find a unique mosaic, patrimony of the world ... our tour aims to provide a general framework that can be developed or customised depending on the amount of time available. After parking the motorcycle, a walk in the old town for a couple of hours and you are already running out of time. The city chosen byDante to complete theDivineComedy is another tasty treat: you can admire historic monuments, museums andpalaces aswell as Street Art (see the dedicated box). After leaving the city, take the SS309 and atMarina Romea turn right to return towards the sea with the SP112. This road follows a marsh, dotted with fishermen’s huts, creating the setting of a bygone era. Marina di Ravenna, Lido di Spina and then you arrive at Comacchio, a true architectural jewel, which, in a few hundred meters, brings together many valuablemonuments, such as theTrepponti, or the palace housing the Museo del Delta Antico, the OspedaleDegli Infermi, and the PalazzoBellini near the Ponte degli Sbirri. You can then take the SP1B, which runs along the Canal Migliarino all theway toOstellato, and you keep riding all theway to Ferrara. Here you should stop for a few photos in front of the sumptuous CastelloEstense, then Palazzo dei Diamanti and the Cathedral in the beautiful Trento -Trieste Square. It’s time to get onto a stretch of highway (here we can check that our Africa Twin can fully flaunt its reputation as a “mile-muncher”), the one on theA13which takes you toVillamarzana, passing through Occhiobello; Then the detour on the SS434 to the entrance of the A31 and a new detour west on the E70 until Peschiera del Garda tollbooth. After passing throughplains, hills, mountains, seas and rivers ... the last stop of our tour is a lakeshore location. The town has no need for introductions since it is a tourist destination throughout the year. The stop is at the ferry pier, on the banks of the RiverMincio before the latter dives into Garda to then cross Porta Verona on the beautiful lakefront that calls for enjoyable walks. The kilometers start to weigh; On the A4we reach Brescia and the closing of this intense but agreeable road trip. 6) COMACCHIO, IN ALTO E IN QUESTA IMMAGINE.
