GIVI Magazine - Giugno 2021

GIVI EQUIPMENT FOR THE BENELLI TRK PRESENTATION VIDEO ON MOTO.IT This time around, the star of the “Parlano di Noi” column - which has been featured in GIVI MAGAZINE from the very beginning - isn’t an article printed in the magazine but rather a “hefty” film produced by the website moto.it. We present it to you here as a video reportage, leaving the descriptions of the details and the delightful exchange of banter between journalists and technicians to the 20 minute video. After host Maurizio Vettor greets and welcomes Antonio Rizzini and Matteo Gatto from GIVI, the conversation turns to the real star of the show, the Benelli TRK , one of the most sold models for which GIVI has dedicated specific accessories that allow you to fit out your bike just the way you want to. This is when Antonio takes over, after some small talk, and defines the accessories as cost effective (also taking into account that the motorcycle sits in the mid- low price range) but very good quality, in line with GIVI’s philosophy. The only thing left to do is to present the products, among which is a new, mysterious object, draped in a red cloth to catch our attention. We will have to wait for the big reveal. Antonio begins by presenting the side cases, the famous TREKKER ALASKA (36-LTR aluminium side cases), launched in May 2020 for the Touring segment. Their unusual quality/price ratio distinguishes them. The optimisation of the manufacturing process and the assembly line has allowed for the use of top-quality materials and technical details (the same ones used for the OUTBACK, for example) at a lower cost than A visit with the editorial staff of moto.it, one of the most important motorcycle websites in the world for its editorial layout and long-standing commitment to the world of motorcycles. Maurizio Vettor, well- known tester and official spokesperson for the column “Recensito”, has made a video on Givi equipment for the Benelli TRK. Preview of the Alaska aluminium top case. other similar products. Another point in their favour is how easy they are to use, with the simplified release system (Wirelease System) and the rear hook that keeps the cases in a tilted position (Hold it Easy), which prevents the lid hitting the top case when you open it. The QUICKPACK was placed under the tool bag, a practical 15-LTR bag which quickly becomes a backpack to take with you once you get off the bike. Loaded on top of the side case is the 18-LTR, fluorescent yellow, waterproof T520 cargo bag, held in place by Trekker Straps. Antonio points out how the look of the new ALASKA has been toned down and streamlined compared to it’s sturdier “cousin”, the OUTBACK. And now, the moment we have been waiting for, the new product, long awaited for by ALASKA side case owners, the 56-LTR MONOKEYALASKA TOP CASE , capable of holding two full-face or modular helmets comfortably. Its compact design and aesthetic details blend perfectly with the design of the two side cases, while the 1.5 mm natural aluminium and rivets ensure excellent grip even in extreme conditions. Next up is Matteo, who describes the accessories that have been mounted on the front of the Benelli TRK, starting with the new EA130 extendible tank bag (from 20 to 26 litres) from the entry level EASY-T line, made for urban riders but, as you can see from the video, also suitable for other types of motorcycles. Recognisable by the reflective side inserts and fluorescent yellow piping, this bag comes with straps or practical magnets. An added feature is that the bag can become a shoulder bag or backpack - either single shoulder or classic. One item that has become a must-have for any road trip is the smartphone holder. The one chosen for the Benelli TRK is the S958B , a model that works with larger phones and is equipped with a window at the back at the same height as the phone camera so you can make short videos while riding. The larger fairing, a must for long journeys, in this case, is now taller with the SHIELD+ S180T , an adjustable accessory capable not only of blocking the air flow, but also reducing turbulence at helmet height, taking advantage of the Venturi Effect. Last but not least are the tubular engine guards and the S322, the universal anti-fog lights that connect directly to the motorcycle’s battery. During the final good-byes at the end of the video, Antonio reminds us that approximately every 3 weeks there is a livestream on GIVI’s Instagram page that allows motorcycle lovers to ask questions or get information.
