An expert rider, content creator, and GIVI ambassador, Candida Louis hails from India and has her father to thank for her greatest passion: exploring the world on a motorcycle. After tackling two incredible trips in 2015 and 2018, this year, Candida decided to meet the “Old Continent” by travelling across 25 countries in just 3 months, all this together with “Skye”, her faithful Bajaj Dominar. With an uncontrollable passion for motorcycles and adventure inherited from her father, Candida Louis – born in the city of Hubballi, in the Indian state of Karnataka – knew exactly what she wanted for her future from the age of 12: to travel the roads of the world on two wheels. Her dream came true in 2015 when she decided to give up a safe office job to devote herself to her calling. In fact, the very same year, she embarked upon a gruelling 7-month journey, solo, through 22 Indian states and, in 2018, an epic crossing from India to Australia, officially transforming her passion into a job – a full-time job! This year, Candida is busy with another memorable “solo” trip, completed only a few weeks ago, which saw her literally travelling across all of Europe, through 25 countries. She was of course astride her inseparable and masterfully GIVI-equipped Skye. The first stop on the European tour chosen by Candida was on British soil. I’m talking about the Adventure Bike Riders Festival at Ragley Hall Estate in Warwickshire. “The perfect start, meeting like-minded motorcyclists, seeing amazing motorcycles, food and fantastic music. I couldn’t have asked for more”. However, the scenic, majestic Welsh mountains drew Candida to them almost immediately. Despite the cold and a bit of rain, both of which were kept at bay by her Hevik technical gear and apparel, the atmosphere was magical and the view nothing short of stunning. After the mountains, Candida headed towards the South of England to reach the Jurassic Coast, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This site, a stretch of around 150 km, gets its name from the fossils found among the cliffs, which date to a period 200–145 million years ago. This is where palaeontology was born! After this visit, it was time for our ambassador to leave England and enter the European Union.
