For those who love to travel by motorcycle, Givi represents a benchmark when it comes to bags and cases. The Maxia 5 described in these pages is the pinnacle of their Monokey range of top cases: large, with elegant lines and a rear retro-reflector for added safety (it looks like an LED), distinctive aerodynamic moulding on the bottom part and IPX4 splash-proof certification. The top shell is shaped into two rounded ends, allowing the Maxia 5 to hold two full-face helmets - even bulky ones - with ease. The total capacity is 58 LTR, with a maximum permitted load of 10 kg. The “comb” hinges conveniently avoid the need for retention cables. The case comes with elastic straps for securing items, a storage net at the top and an inner mat. The optionals include a pocket for holding documents and a back panel for the passenger. The Maxia 5 is the new large case from Givi that gets top marks for capacity, quality and price. It is very sturdy, with a fine finish and features Elegant design, ultra-spacious with premium finishings from a technical point of view, the new top-of-the-range Monokey top case from GIVI is capturing the attention and interest of industry media. Even INSELLA magazine, the top motorcycle magazine in Italy, has dedicated two entire pages to the review of the MAXIA 5 in the “Prova Accessori” (Accessory Testing) section. Here is the article taken from the latest issue. ACCESSORY TESTING: GIVI MONOKEY MAXIA 5 SPACIOUS AND ELEGANT GIVI MONOKEY MAXIA 5. WHO IS TALKING ABOUT US? ENGLISH TEXT OUR REVIEW Although its external dimensions are those of a classic large case, the new Monokey Maxia 5 offers an enormous load capacity: it can hold two full-face helmets of any type, even modular ones or the motocross helmets with extended visors (upright or lying on their sides). The two “shells” are solid and firmly attached, with the top one staying in place once fully opened. That’s thanks to the new “comb” hinges, larger and stronger than the previous ones, which prevent lateral bending and allow the case to stay open without the use of classic retention cables. The strength of the Maxia 5 is also the result of the firm attachment between the two shells, which provides better protection against theft. The rigidity of the walls also means the internal surfaces are “clean”, without the ribs normally present within rigid top cases for reinforcement, reducing space and, therefore, load capacity. The red feature on the back is also a nice touch: in addition to its aesthetic value, the broad surface area of the reflector boosts visibility and safety when travelling by night. 22 Chi parla di noi LISTINO USATO EUROTAX YAMAHAYZF-R 125 SPORTIVA PER 16ENNI TEST e PROVE Honda Forza 350 Fant ic Motor Cabal lero 700 Royal Enf ield Interceptor 650 Kymco AK 550 Premium BMW R 1250 R Yamaha YZF-R125 Peugeot XP 400 GT Askoll XKP elettrico QUALI GARANZIE?
