Keyword: protection Those who travel many kilometres know very well how the weather can suddenly change, particularly with altitude. On a motorcycle created for those who travel breathtaking Alpine passes, the Italian company has developed a large windscreen and hand-protector kit, priced at € 101 and € 113, respectively. The transparent fairing is extremely to fit. It is higher than both the standard windscreen and the protective model offered by Honda and diverts airflow over the head even for the tallest riders, enabling travel in complete comfort. The hand protectors are made with a technopolymer that is lightweight and highly resistant in the event of accidental impacts. They fit perfectly with the lines of the motorcycle’s design and protect the hands enough to be able to travel with temperatures around 5°C wearing winter gloves but without heated hand grips. Load capacity: 132 litres The low exhaust on the Honda Transalp XL750 is a solid option for adventurers, enabling installation of two side cases of equal capacity. GIVI offers the Trekker Outback Evo set of cases with patented MONOKEY® CAM-SIDE fixing system, priced at € 432 each and with a capacity of 37 litres. These can be combined with the 58-LTR Trekker Outback Evo top case, also with MONOKEY® fixing, listed at € 542. These spacious aluminium cases are available in both natural and black colours to match any motorcycle. The products are carefully manufactured with waterproof seals and foam inserts in the top case that protect items from scratches due to vibration or bumps when riding. This takes the load capacity to an impressive 132 litres, enough for even the most challenging journeys. Just in case this is not enough, each case is equipped with special eyelets for fastening additional soft bags. The excellent top case is so spacious and well-structured that there is easily space for two modular helmets to be stored inside. On top of this, it features the Adjustable Resistance Hinge System, which enables adjustment of the closure speed of the cover, avoiding unwanted surprises when parked on slopes. The MONOKEY® system is robust and ensures excellent fastening of the cases even on uneven ground or riding off-road. Every case is also equipped with two keys, ensuring maximum security for the contents when the motorcycle is left unattended. Quick-release frames We all know just how much aesthetics can influence our decisions as motorcyclists, and GIVI recognises this. The support frames for side cases and top case are essential on a journey but undeniably bulk up the lines of the motorcycle at the rear. This is why the PL ONE-FIT side frame kit for MONOKEY® cases can be installed with the RAPID RELEASE 12RKIT kit, costing € 313.50 and € 91.50, respectively. The frames are robust and relatively simple to install on the bike, even for those who are not so talented at DIY, with instructions clearly setting out the various steps. The return of the Honda Transalp has fuelled opinions of every type but one things is for sure: this motorcycle is designed for anybody to travel, alone or as a couple, transporting motorcyclists on their daily commute and on more challenging adventures. It offers an excellent starting point to equip with GIVI accessories, transforming it into a fully equipped vehicle suitable for even the most demanding journey. The space that the Magazine dedicates to articles published by industry press takes up the test carried out by MOTOTURISMO. Serving two-wheel travel enthusiasts for over 35 years, in the latest issue the magazine offers a detailed “on the road” analysis of the set-up suggested by GIVI for the new Honda Transalp.
