Over the last three decades, GIVI Asia has grown into a true success story. The most important moments along this journey were commemorated during a special evening attended by 400 guests from Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Japan, Vietnam, India and Taiwan. The guest list consisted of exporters, distributors, retailers, suppliers and the local media. Vincenzo Visenzi, the son of GIVI’s founder, was in attendance to represent the parent company. What’s more, Giuseppe Visenzi, GIVI S.P.A Italia’s CEO and Vice President Hendrika Visenzi, and Umberto Visenzi all made a surprise appearance in a video message. In gratitude for the cooperation that has been unwavering for 30 years, a “Partnership Recognition” was presented to Vincenzo Visenzi. In turn, he honoured On Hai Swee, Managing Director of GIVI Asia, and Joseph Perucca, the group’s Overseas Operational Director, with gifts expressing sincere appreciation. In keeping with the general spirit of giving thanks, “Cooperation Awards” were presented to the GIVI branches, along with “Import Excellence Awards”, “Dealer Excellence Awards” and “Long Service Awards”, acknowledging the tireless efforts of the staff of GIVI Asia. There were plenty of moments of pure entertainment as various artists took their turns on stage, but it was the début of “The Matterhorn Monolock Top Case”, the new aluminium top case dedicated to the Asian market, that really captured the attention of the attendees and specialist press. THE GIVI ASIA STORY GIVI ASIA, a well-known name in today’s two-wheeled vehicle sector, began its adventure in 1994 as a retail outlet on Jalan Ipoh (Kuala Lumpur). Hard work paid off, allowing GIVI to make a name for itself and expand after just three years, growing from an ordinary store to a factory with a built area of 2,500 sqm initially. As time passed, GIVI ASIA went from strength to strength, becoming a household name in the Asian market and consolidating its reputation in the world of motorcycles. During these three decades, another important facility was built in Bukit Beruntung (Selangor), sprawling over an area of around 10,000 sqm and capable of producing over 2 million products The unveiling was accompanied by an interesting presentation by Julian Loh, the National Sales & Marketing Manager of GIVI Asia. The highlight of the evening was the cakecutting ceremony, when guests and staff alike raised their glasses and shared a moment of reflection on the journey so far and excitement for the road yet to be travelled. every month, including top cases, helmets and accessories aimed at both the local and overseas markets. History is something that’s created every day, and GIVI ASIA is living proof: starting with just two people, it now boasts a workforce of over 180 employees of various nationalities, professions and levels. Since 2003, GIVI ASIA has been actively engaged in product launches, marketing roadshows and trade fairs. Not only has it consolidated its presence in the sector, but thanks to over 20 years of involvement in MotoGP it has also grown into a prestigious and highly respected manufacturer, steadfastly upholding GIVI’s high quality standards all throughout Asia.
