Il prossimo anno dimostrerà il suo talento agli Assoluti d’Italia, nel Campionato Europeo e in alcune gare del Mondiale. Con lui abbiamo lavorato allo sviluppo del primo casco cross/enduro che porta il nostro marchio: il 60.1 imone Cristini è nato a Brescia il 7 Agosto 2001 e abita a Flero: in pratica, con lui “giochiamo in casa”. La moto la guida dall’età di 14 anni. La prima, una HM da 50cc, la comprò con i soldi guadagnati, a fine anno scolastico, con i lavoretti estivi. Con quella prima moto tassellata Simone, quasi per scherzo, partecipò a qualche manifestazione amatoriale. La passione e la sicurezza di poter fare meglio lo portò l’anno successivo a mettersi alla prova nel Campionato Italiano di MiniEnduro, finendo la stagione in terza posizione! Lo step successivo, grazie anche all’aiuto di alcuni amici del padre, fu l’acquisto di una moto più performante e di abbigliamento tecnico adeguato, con i quali allenarsi seriamente e con costanza. La sua bravura fu notata dalla Federazione Motociclistica Italiana, che gli aprì le porte dei “Talenti Azzurri”. Serviva uno sponsor tecnico e a farsi avanti fu una concessionaria moto (con la quale il pilota continua ad avere rapporti). Nel 2019 Simone cominciò a vincere seriamente, portando a casa il primo titolo di Campione Italiano Cadetti 125. In quello stesso anno fu convocato dalla Nazionale per rappresentare l’Italia alla Six Days del Portogallo (la sua prima esperienza all’estero e in una gara a livello mondiale). Quest’anno Cristini ha cambiato categoria e cilindrata: lasciata da parte la sua 125 è tornato a gareggiare con una Gas Gas 250 al suo primo Campionato Europeo di OFF-ROAD EXTRAORDINAIRE... Next year his skills will be on display at the Assoluti d’Italia, the European Championships and various races in the World Series. We have collaborated with Simon to develop our very first cross/enduro helmet: the 60.1. Simone Cristini was born in Brescia on 7 August 2001 and lives in Flero: in fact, he’s practically our neighbour. He’s been riding motorcycles since he was 14 years old. He bought his first bike, a 50cc HM, with the money he earned doing summer jobs during the school holidays, and it was on that first dirt bike that Simone, almost as a joke, took part in his first amateur races. The very next year, his passion and conviction that he could do better took him to the Italian MiniEnduro Championships, and he ended the series in third place. The next step - aided in part by some of his father’s friends - was to buy a better performing bike and the right technical clothing so he could take his training to the next level. His prowess soon drew the attention of the Italian Motorcycle Federation, and Simone was invited to join the “Talenti Azzuri”, a project aimed at young riders. He needed a technical sponsor and a motorcycle dealership stepped in, beginning a relationship that continues to this day. In 2019 Simone began to win big and brought home his first title: Italian Cadets 125 Champion. That same year he was asked to join the National team to represent Italy at the Six Days in Portugal, his first experience riding abroad in an international race. This year Cristini changed both category and cylinder class, exchanging his 125cc bike to compete in his first Enduro European Championships on a Gas Gas 250cc. In 2021 he was also awarded the title of Italian Junior 250 Champion and came second in the Junior category of the European Championships. Our partnership with Simone goes beyond a classic sponsorship deal. In fact, we have worked with Simone to develop our first cross/enduro full-face helmet. Simone: “GIVI’s professionalism, willingness and reputation in the race world, and the stability of a brand with a history that few companies can rival, convinced me to get involved in this project. And of course, I’m from Brescia... I’m really comfortable with this helmet. It wasn’t easy to achieve the level of comfort, reliability and safety that this type of full-face helmet offers but we did it, and at a price/quality ratio that’s hard to match”. The new GIVI 60.1 hits the shelves in early 2022. Enduro. Sempre nel 2021 si è aggiudicato il titolo di Campione Italiano Junior 250 e quello di Vice Campione Europeo nella Junior. La nostra collaborazione con Simone è andata oltre la classica sponsorship. Con lui abbiamo lavorato allo sviluppo del primo integrale cross/ enduro. Ecco i suoi commenti: “La professionalità, la disponibilità, la presenza nel mondo delle gare e la solidità di un marchio che ha una storia alle spalle che poche realtà possono vantare mi hanno convinto a prendermi cura di questo progetto. E poi sono di Brescia… Con il nuovo casco mi trovo proprio a mio agio. Non è stato facile raggiungere il grado di comfort, affidabilità e sicurezza che questa tipologia di integrale deve offrire ma ce l’abbiamo fatta, e aggiungo, mantenendo un rapporto qualità/ prezzo difficile da eguagliare”.
