Novembre vede GIVI coinvolto in due eventi importanti… e consecutivi. A qualche ora dalla chiusura del Salone di Milano,dall’altra parte del mondo un gruppo di fortunati motociclisti ac- cenderà i motori per intraprendere una “full immersion” su due ruote nell’area del sud est asiatico che comprende il famoso TriangoloD’oro. Accessori, valigie, borse, caschi, abbigliamento divideranno l’avventura con moto e protagonisti. U n tour motociclistico dal sapore epico nella culla del Buddismo, Le immagini che scorrono davanti agli occhi sono quelle di strade inesplorate, paesaggi incredibili, incantevoli villaggi, templi dall’atmosfera mistica e metropoli caotiche e piene di vita. Le tante sfaccettature della cultura asiatica rappresentano una forte attrattiva per i motociclisti di tutto il mondo e il viaggio “GIVI EXPLORER”, toccando Tailandia, Cambogia e Vietnam ne concentra l’es- senza. Come ogni esperienza simile, anche “THE GOLDEN TRIANGLE ADVENTURE” metterà alla frusta allestimenti pensati per il traveller avventuroso. Un banco di prova che coinvolgerà tutte le famiglie dei prodotti GIVI e che permetterà di testarne sul campo affidabilità, robustezza, protezione e com- fort. Seguite questa esperienza attraverso i reportage giornalieri realizzati dal portale GIVI EXPLORER nei quali verranno riportati emozioni, consigli pratici e link utili, test sugli accessori, ricche gallery foto e video. Nel frattempo vi anticipiamo il percorso, Partenza da Pattaya, in Tailandia. La prima tappa porterà il gruppo a Aranyapathet, punto di frontiera con la Cambogia, e successivamente a Siemreap (per un totale di 425 km). La cittadina è ubicata tra le rovine di Angkor (il più vasto sito religioso al mondo, dal 1992 patrimonio dell’Unesco) e il grande lago di Tonle Sap, nel nord-ovest del Paese. Qui è previsto un giorno di sosta per permettere la visita dei famosissimi templi Wat, Thom, Ta Prohm, Bayon… per citare i più importanti. Il tour proseguirà per PhnomPenh, capitale politica ed economica della Cambogia adagiata sul fiume Mekong (320 km) con sosta per il pranzo lungo la strada. La tappa successiva porterà il gruppo a Moc Bai, oltre il confine vietnamita. Questa località si trova sulla Trans-Asia Highway, strada che collega Phnom Penh a Ho Chi Minh City, punto di arrivo della giornata non prima di una visita al sito storico Cu Chi Tunnels, una vasta rete sotterranea di gallerie utilizzata negli Anni 40 del secolo scorso dai guerrieri Viet Minh durante la guerra contro le forze francesi e successivamente dai Viet Cong durante la Guerra del Vietnam. La sosta a Ho Chi Minh City (un tempo chiamata Saigon) segna il momento cen- trale del tour. La città, pulsante, caotica e importante per il commercio e la cultura, risulta importante in quanto area metro- politana dove ha sede GIVI VIETNAM. Doverosa la sosta allo stabilimento, alla quale si aggiungeranno un giro cittadino in scooter e la visita all’enorme “wholesale motorcycle market”. La meta successiva si chiama Can Tho e si trova a 170 km. E’ una delle 5 principali città del Paese ed è famosa per il suo mercato galleggiante sul fiume Mekong e per le specialità gastronomiche. A questo punto il percorso piega verso Ha Tien, (180 km), luogo famoso per le sue bellissime spiagge, per poi rientrare in Cambogia per una sosta al Preah Monivong Bokor National Park, sulla punta meridionale delle montagne “degli elefanti”: ben 982 miglia quadrate di foreste pluviali sempreverdi. L’ultimo giorno del tour vedrà il rientro del gruppo a Pattaya, per il gran gala finale. THE GOLDEN TRIANGLE ADVENTURE TOUR 2017 THAILANDIA-CAMBOGIA-VIETNAM 12-20 NOVEMBRE 2017 ENGLISH TEXT Givi will be part of two important events in November… and they are back to back. Just a few hours after the EICMA show in Milan will be over, a lucky group of riders on the other side of the World will start their engi- nes and jump into a “full immersion” tour on two wheels of Southeast Asia, an area that also includes a good part of the Golden Triangle. Accessories, hard cases, soft bags, helmets and apparel will share the adventure with bikes and riders. A moto tour with an epic flavor in the cradle of Buddhism. Images that come to mind portrait unexplored roads, incredible landsca- pes, amazing villages, mystic temples, chaotic and full of life metropolis. The multiple faces of the Asian culture represent an irresistible attraction for motorcyclists around the World, and the “GIVI EXPLORER” tour, touching Thailandia, Cambodia and Vietnam, will capture their very essence. Like all previous experiences, “THE GOLDEN TRIANGLE ADVENTURE” will stress to the core all the equipment GIVI designed for the adventure traveler. A challenge that will involve all the GIVI product families, testing on the field their reliability, toughness, safety and comfort. Readers will be able to follow this experience through the daily posts on the GIVI EXPLORER page, describing emotions, giving tips and useful links, and reporting about accessory tests and enticing the followers through video and picture galleries. Meanwhile, we would like to preview the trip and its stages. Starting from Pattaya in Thailand, the first stop-over will bring the group to Aranyapathet, the border crossing to Cambogia, and eventually to Siemreap (425 km total). The city is situated in the Angkor ruins region (the largest religious site on the planet, UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1992) and sits by Tonle Sap lake, in the Northwest of the Country. Here the group will take a day off to visit the famous Wat, Them, Ta Prohm and Bayon temples… just to name a few of the most important. The Tour will continue to Phnom Penh (320 km total), the politic and economic capital of Cambodia, that sits along the Mekong river, after taking a brief lunch break on the road. The next leg will take the group to Mac Bai, across the Vietnam border. This site sits on the Tans-Asia Highway, the main road that connects Phnom Penn to Ho Chi Minh City. This is the destination for the day, but not before visiting the Cu Chi Tunnels historical site, a huge sub- terranean galleries network originally used in the 1940s by the Vet Ninh fighters, during the war against the French forces, and successively by the Vietcong during the Vietnam War. The stop in Ho Chi Minh City (that used to be called Saigon) will mark the Tour’s midway point. The city, lively, chaotic and also a cultural and commercial gateway, is also very important for us because it hosts the GIVI VIETNAM headquarters. A visit of the facility can’t be missed, as well as a tour of the city aboard small scooters and a stroll through the huge “Motorcycle Wholesale Market”. After HCMC, the following destination is Can Tho, about 170 km away. This is one of the 5 most important cities of the Country, and it is famous for both the floating market on the Mekong river and its culinary delicacies. From here, the tour heads to Ha Tien (180 Km), renowned for its gorgeous beaches, to successively come back to Cambogia and a stop at the Preah Monivong Book National Park, on the Southern ridge of the “Elephant Mountains”: 982 square miles of ever- green pluvial forests. The final day of the tour will see the group returning to Pattaya, Thailand, for the closing gala dinner.
