GIVI Magazine - Dicembre 2022

ENGLISH TEXT Europe’s stand-out motorcycles showcased at three important events that took place between October and November. INTERMOT, EICMA and MOTORLIVE. This edition of the magazine gives greater emphasis to the Milan show, but our brand also played its part in Germany and the UK. Here, a short summary. INTERMOT - Cologne The biennial German event reopened its doors after a four-year absence (the 2020 edition was cancelled due to Covid-19), resuming with the support of roughly 500 brands from 29 countries that presented their new 2023 products to the public. We at GIVI welcomed visitors to a stand divided into MOTORCYCLE TRADE SHOWS AN EXPLOSIVE 2022! ‘corners’, with product lines dedicated to the different motorcycle segments and previews of the 56 and 44-litre ALASKA aluminium top cases and new Monolock Riviera E46 top case. Added to this was a series of specially prepared trims for particular models (six motorcycles and two scooters) that are popular on the market and/or of interest to enthusiasts, namely the Benelli Leoncino 800, Honda X-ADV 350, BMW R1250GS (19-22), Royal Enfield Scram 411, Honda Africa Twin 1100 Adventure Sport, Moto Guzzi V85TT, Niu MQI GT (21-22), and Honda CB500X. MOTORLIVE - NEC Birmingham The longest and most demanding trade show for companies in attendance (from 19 to 27 November). The show pays the price of being last in line and essentially presenting the same new products that the trade press already saw at Intermot and EICMA. This is of course an unmissable event for British enthusiasts, an added value that is appreciated by all firms in attendance. All the key international brands (as well as some new names) accepted the invitation to exhibit on UK soil. In our case, organisation was handled directly by our GIVI UK branch. The stand showcased trims for the Yamaha Ténéré 700, Moto Morini X-Cape 650 and Royal Enfield Meteor 350 models. A very positive general climate helped reinstate that preCovid sense of light-heartedness. 38 News
