EICMA 2021 WELCOME TO OUR BOOTH! As usual, and after a hiatus in 2020 due to COVID-19, we once again open the end of year magazine with a comprehensive article about our presence at the Milan Motorcycle Show. Meeting the public and sharing our new products with the fans is always an interesting and stimulating opportunity. Complete with gallery, the EICMA booth covered an area of 363 m². A significant space, which was skilfully divided into themed areas and able to respond to the needs of visitors (clients, users, journalists, guests, and video makers). In general terms, our 2021 presentation visually introduced the new “attitude” philosophy, already embraced on our official website and in the catalogues, with the use of images shot in the various segments in which products are used. In practical terms, rather than the classic categorisation by product type, we opted to focus on the different types of motorcyclist (traveller, road and off-road, urban rider, lover of the new classics, etc.). As well as promoting the best of our 2022 production, the booth also dedicated space to initiatives, projects and ranges destined for new markets. These included Electric Enjoy, with which we outlined our approach to the evolution of new urban mobility relating to company fleets, and the GIVI Bike collection dedicated to bicycles. Observing the exhibition body’s rules to prevent crowding meant that one of our most highly-anticipated events unfortunately did not go ahead, as we were unable to host the riders sponsored by GIVI during 2021 who compete in the highest professional categories, from MotoGP to the world’s off-road tracks. But nothing could keep the public away, visitors to our EICMA booth once again demonstrating an impressive level of knowledge and a real feel for our products. On hand to answer their technical questions and outline the 2022 products in detail was a proper “task force”, made up of designers and technicians who are specialists in every segment of GIVI production. “Our” fair was a story told through images, interviews and video tutorials - material produced by both the trade press and our digital team, who helped produce the daily content for our social media channels. And now for the new products. BAGS, CASES AND FIXING SYSTEMS Solutions with which to optimise luggage transportation are always front and centre at the GIVI booth. EICMA 2021 brought further confirmation of this, as we presented the ultra-versatile line of CANYON soft bags, perfect for maxi enduro motorcycles, and the brand-new and elegant X-LINE aimed at road touring. The latter range, which comprises seven different models (two of which are specific to the BMW R1200GS and Honda Africa Twin), presents particularly refined technical solutions and suits a number of assembly solutions. The public was also intrigued by the exclusive presentation of the innovative REMOVE-X side frame, a new fixing system for soft side bags, which stands out for the fact it can be almost completely removed from the bike using only a lever. Visitors were able to admire three new top cases, presented in display cases, which add to the already extensive range of GIVI top cases. For the new 44-LTR aluminium top case, the latest addition to the Trekker ALASKA family, this was an exclusive preview, in apertura automatica applicabili a vari modelli di bauletti GIVI, per scooter ed eBike. Un altro plus importante è l’Helmet Smart System, un sistema brevettato che permette di monitorare l’effettiva presenza dei caschi all’interno dei bauletti… Un impegno questo, che segna l’ingresso del marchio nel nuovo “Lifestyle on demand” costituito dalla mobilità elettrica, destinata a diventare sempre più flessibile, sicura e digitale. OSPITI Oltre alla presentazione dei nuovi prodotti per la stagione 2022, sono passati a far visita allo stand la stampa di settore italiana ed estera, clienti, influencer, youtuber… e dal terzo giorno di apertura del SALONE, l’incontro con il pubblico, che ha animato nella seconda parte della settimana della moto, il nostro stand. Per i nostri clienti business europei ed extraeuropei che, per motivi legati al Coronavirus e alle restrizioni indicate dai singoli paesi, non hanno potuto essere presenti a Milano, abbiamo organizzato trasmissioni in live streaming dallo stand, alle quali si sono aggiunte decine di video presentazioni dedicate alle novità esposte, rese prontamente disponibili sul nostro canale YouTube. In conclusione, nonostante le limitazioni introdotte dal piano sanitario e alcune defezioni importanti a livello di Case moto, la fiera è stata ancora una volta spettacolare. A renderla tale ha contribuito anche GIVI, come azienda capace di tenere alta la bandiera del “Made in Italy” nel mondo delle due ruote. 8 Novità 2021
